In a recent article posted by Poynteronline's Media Business Analyst, Rick Edmonds the audience volume for newspapers, cable television, network news, and online news has fallen off. Between June 2005 and June 2006, those people who claimed they received their news fix from online sources dropped from 34 to 27 percent; this information obtained from a Pew Research Center report. The State of the News Media 2007 which was released by the Project for Excellence in Journalism reported such findings, but was unable to find the exact cause of these changes.
In my opinion, I feel people are too busy woking and paying taxes to watch the news. And then it's so depressing when you actually do get a chance to get enlightened. Most of the time you just find yourself turning on Channel 4 just long enough to get that very useful information located at the very bottom of the page which is the present temperature outside because with this ever changing Florida weather you might just need a coat as well as the time because who wants to be late for work or school. Not me. You can view this entire article in detail at the following link: http://www.poynter.org/content/content_view.asp?id=119615
